School has started back up again! This semester I have anatomy and physiology with lab, microbiology with lab, and speech and communication. My schedule is PACKED! The science classes, as everyone knows, are no easy feat.

Now that school is back on, get ready for some bentos!! This bento was a snack bento that I made a couple weeks ago.
Barbequed chicken with BBQ sauce, carrots, lettuce, with chewy chocolate granola bar.

I got a ton of goodies from a swap I made back in July; thats where I got the cute little snack bento from. It matches my Chi Chai Monchan Fork (that I thought I had lost) perfectly!

Bento 15 and 16

Bento #15

This bento was super small (snack sized) since I was eating shortly afterwards. Boiled egg in a nest of alfalfa sprouts on top of salad, and kiwi and pineapple. Later I went and got one of my favorite lunches from Safeway (lol)! A Havarti cheese and turkey sandwich. Scrumptious. I love how the safeway sandwiches are all smushed together.

Bento #16

My new smiley faced bento box makes its debut!! Top tier: A halfway failed flower panini boysenberry jam and peanut butter quesadilla. Apples. Bottom tier: Half pre-frozen steamed vegetables, half homemade sauteed mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions, mixed together. I loved this lunch. Peanut butter and jam quesadilla and apples are a fantastic combination.

I tried a Kashi Soft-baked TLC Bar for the first time, and man, those things are GOOD! Almost as good as my smiley faced bento. :) They taste like fig newtons, and who doesn't love those?! They clock in at 110 calories, 6g sugar, 3g fiber, and are also made with real fruit and whole grains. Yum! I'll definitely be buying these again.

Bento 13 and 14

Hey everyone! I finished the in-class portion of the exam; I'm glad that is over with! . . . My cat just ripped up my beautiful purple background I used for these pictures. @#$%^! Those scrapbooking papers are expensive! :( Dang you, Mario!
Bento 13

Quesadilla on a bed of salad and a taco bell hot sauce. This quesadilla was FREAKIN' sweet. It was laughing cow garlic light, chicken, bell peppers, and onions. Why don't they make salsa in little packets?
Bento 14

My funny gassy bento. Broccoli, Laughing Cow Garlic, nushrooms, and beans.

OH! I'm participating in a Bento Swap with someone and I'm super excited. I can't wait to get together her package. I'm heading to the store today to pick some treats out!! We have such unique foods here in Hawaii from Asian cultures and Pacific Island cultures; it's like a melting pot. It's one of my favorite aspects of Hawaii!

Bento #11 & 12

A little late on the bentos, but better late than never! I almost just typed 'never better than later'. My brain is a little wacky from all this studying: I have an exam today that I was preparing for, hence my putting the bentoage on hold.

Bento #11

Bottom tier: Laughing cow french onion cheese light with star apples (my sister said it'd be like eating onions with apples, but it wasn't. Phooey on her!).

Top tier: A boca burger full of it's delicious soy protein goodness, and cut up bell peppers. It is a fantastic combination.

Bento #12 (Taken right before eating it since I ran out of time in the morning. :P)

Yes, that is my cool 3 year old pink backpack.
Bow-tie pasta with mushrooms, pimento olives, bell peppers, and tomatos.
Unpictured: Almonds and an apple.

Do you like my super new cool Spaghetti-O's bento box? It's insulated. Yeahhh, I bet you're jealous now. I found it at the Sally Shop (salvation army); its from 1999. I can't believe stuff made in 1999 is ten years old. Already. My, my, how time flies.

Bento #10 - I scream for mountain apples!

Top tier: First attempt at cucumber tea sandwiches: bread with a garlic yogurt spread (not so fantastic) and cucumbers. Ham and tomato and lettuce for extra toppings.
Bottom tier: Mountain apple cut in two, couple handfuls of a nut mix containing various seeds, nuts, and dried berries.

I got the mountain apples from my local farmers market. They are so cheap, but for some reason they are hard to find! Maybe the farmers don't find them worth harvesting? Anyway, it is a low calorie fruit with a gram of fiber per apple. They are so DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend them if you ever find any!!

Bento #9 - A little Late!

Yesterday, I made pumpkin yogurt for lunch. (You can learn more about it and a recipe at my other blog, Carob Milk). I was going to Costco so I didn't really need a big lunch--I got more frozen yogurt while I was there!

Very orange. I don't suggest matching your bento box color to your food: how to make your lunch UNINTERESTING! :(

Got some delicious thick bread at Costco, so look forward to some sandwiches! I also found my stash of cookie cutters!

Also, I must remember to PACK UTENSILS... Luckily I found a fork in my car this day, but the other day when I packed fruit salad, I ate it with my hands... Very attractive, lol!

Bento #8 - Yum yum

This morning I was intensly craving an egg burrito, so I made one and stuck the leftover half in my bento. I'm looking forward to eating it; I filled it with yummy things like zucchini and spinach... And, dare I say it? Cheese. Yum.

On the side: some sort of sauteed beans.
Found out there is no school on Friday, so no bento post that day. (I know you all secretly want me to go to school just to see my bento. Tsk, tsk.)
